Event Report: ISYP South Asia Cyber-Nuclear Roundtable, in partnership with IPCS, CSSPR and NIICE

On February 24th, 2023, International Student/Young Pugwash convened a two-hour virtual roundtable among early- and mid-career professionals on the nexus between cybersecurity and nuclear weapons issues in South Asia. The program was hosted in partnership with the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS), New Delhi, the Centre for Security, Strategy and Policy Research (CSSPR) at the University of Lahore, and the Nepal Institute for International Cooperation and Engagement, with guidance from our Advisor to South Asia Programming, Dr. Tanvi Kulkarni. The roundtable took stock of participants’ perspectives on the cyber-nuclear nexus in South Asia, prioritizing concerns and anticipating future issues. The roundtable featured three speakers, a scenario-building exercise, and two group plenaries.

We encourage those who are interested in staying engaged with future South Asia programming to sign up to our mailing list and/or to email us at office@isyp.org.
