Get Involved

How Can You Get Involved With ISYP?

If you are a student or early-career individual concerned with the interface of science, technology, society and ethics, we would love for you to join ISYP’s initiatives—or even create your own, with ISYP’s potential partnership.

Here is how you can get involved:

  • To stay informed regarding ISYP’s activities, join our mailing list and follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Also, please reach out to recommend events and initiatives for us to share with the Student/Young Pugwash community, by email or on social media.
  • If you wish to partner with ISYP on an advocacy, organizational or project idea centered on science and international affairs, please contact us at office@isyp.org. We would love to work with you.
  • You can prepare in-advance to submit a research paper for an ISYP conference or event—when we next announce a “call for papers” (here was our last one). We seek papers on science and world affairs, often related to global security.
  • We would be happy to help you get started on a research project or get an article published. In particular, we can connect you with individuals whose backgrounds complement your own—to gain input on your work, or to find a research partner. For example, if you are a science or engineering student/researcher, we may be able to connect you with a social scientist with knowledge of your paper topic. In addition, we partner with the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, and we can connect you with a Bulletin “Voices of Tomorrow” editor to help you refine your article for submission to the Bulletin. Please reach out to office@isyp.org.

Thank you for your commitment to dialogue across disciplinary and national divides. We appreciate having you in our ISYP community.
